The LOTUS Approach: Reframing LinkedIn
About a year ago, I realized I had nothing meaningful to say on LinkedIn anymore. Honestly, the place has become a professional version of show-and-tell, and I didn’t like the activity in elementary school. In the last 12 months, I composed a total of four posts focused on civil rights, AI and global inequality, educational policy, and leadership. Beyond that, I didn’t want to contribute to the noise unless I had something useful to offer.
Navigating This Lackluster Lull
Most mornings, I wake up and walk two miles with my dog. I've been doing this for about a year now, and it has done more for my work-life balance than most of the professional development I've sat through. There is something about moving your body before the day asks anything of you that makes the rest of it more bearable. I don’t think I’m alone when I say that lately, my workdays feel lackluster.
